Head of section

Section 3.1 is divided into the following three subject areas:

Subject area "Professorships, civil servants“

We administer and support the personnel matters of all university teachers and civil servants in science, technology and administration. Here, we advise and support the scientific departments and service institutions in all matters related to civil service law and issues of personnel strategy.

Subject area "Pension law matters“

Furthermore, we offer competent advice and support on pension matters and the related social security issues and act as an interface to the State Office for Salaries and Pensions (Landesamt für Besoldung und Versorgung, LBV). We support civil servants in the online application process for pension information and in the use of the LBV pension calculator.

Subject area "Ancillary areas of personnel law“

Beyond this, we administer business trips, excursions, secondary employment activities, recreational leave as well as relocation expenses and salary advances. We handle matters relating to severance pay in the context of hiring and transfers. In these areas, we are responsible for all employees of TU Dortmund University.
